What an Aircon Regas Actually Is!
A regas removes the old refrigerant and replaces it with the correct amount for your car. Refrigerant is the gas that cools the air your vents push out.
Here’s what we do during a regas:
- We connect your car to our recovery machine. This removes the old refrigerant safely.
- We vacuum the system. This pulls out air and moisture that stop it cooling well.
- We check for leaks. A drop in refrigerant often points to a small leak somewhere.
- We refill to the manufacturer’s exact amount. Too little or too much both reduce performance.
- We test the output temperature. You leave knowing the cold air is back.
